Artificial Intelligence

JW.org is desperately trying to stay relevant. It regularly publishes brief headliners on current topics intended to grab attention, only to offer the most shallow, superficial coverage of the issue. That is certainly the case with this week’s headliner, which pretends to cover artificial intelligence. The title poses the question What Does the Bible Say? As one might expect, the Watchtower doesn’t get into what the Bible actually says. 

The snippet quotes Kamala Harris, of all people, and the New York Times. These “experts” warn that AI could pose a threat to mankind. No details offered as to how that might be. JW.org then goes on to inform us that the earth will remain forever. That’s it? That is what the Bible says about AI????

JWs do not realize it, but the Watchtower cannot possibly explain what the Bible says about AI because that would require the Governing Body to actually interpret Bible prophecy and make an intelligent forecast of what is to come. Doing so, though, would necessitate discarding everything the Watchtower teaches regarding the supposed fulfillment of the book of Revelation. It would require the Governing Body to repudiate the nonsensical notion that the League of Nations was the eighth king and the UN is the image of the beast that has come alive and caused to be killed those who will not receive the mark of the beast. Jehovah’s Witnesses have been deluded into believing that mankind has already been marked for destruction, that the beast has already emerged from the abyss, and that there is no hour of test coming upon the world because the hour of test began 112 years ago. 

It is inconceivable to the seers and interpreters of Bible prophecy that AI will run the post-crash world. Coupled with mandatory digital ID and the implementation of a single digital currency, artificial intelligence will come alive, speak, and determine who can buy and sell. Put it to the test. Speak with one of Jehovah’s Witnesses about the mark of the beast and see what they say, if anything. 

At this late date, one would think that the faithful slave would be urgently sounding the warning regarding the digital gulag that is being built. But they are silent. They only pretend to explain in order to obfuscate. No wonder Jehovah long ago said: “Listen, you who are deaf; Look and see, you who are blind. Who is blind except my servant, so deaf as the messenger I send? Who is so blind as the one rewarded, so blind as the servant of Jehovah? You see many things, but you do not keep watch. You open your ears, but you do not listen.” – Isaiah 42:18-20
